Typing a number directly into the search box jumps straight to an ayah, surah, or para by reference. The system automatically recognises five patterns:

For a para reference, the first number is the Para number and the number after the dot is that para's Rub' (quarter) — just like the quarter-markers in the margin of a printed Mushaf.

When you type an Arabic, Urdu, or English word instead of a number, the system automatically decides whether this is a single-word search or a phrase search:

Search ignores zabar, zair, pesh, and other diacritics — meaning a word typed without diacritics still successfully matches the fully-diacritised Qur'anic text. The matched word is highlighted in yellow in the results.

Which translation appears alongside the results is chosen from a dropdown:

Every result card shows the Surah number & name in the top-right corner, and the Para number, quarter, and its traditional name in the top-left corner — exactly as noted in the margin of a printed Mushaf.

When several consecutive ayat belong to the same surah or the same para, this tag is shown only once — it is not repeated until the reference changes. This behaviour can be switched on or off with the checkbox next to the search box.

The toolbar above the results lets you instantly change how the ayah text looks:

These changes apply instantly to every result currently shown, and to any new results you search for afterward.

Pressing the 🖨 Print button in the toolbar prints only the result cards — the Surah/Para reference, the ayah, and the translation. The search box, dropdowns, toolbar, and page title are automatically hidden from print, so the printed page contains only the content you need.
